New Year New Term - A Thank you and an Invitation!
Hello everyone,
I just wanted to write a short letter today to say an enormous thank you to each and every person who came to practice yoga with me this year at Thrive in Greystones. I've been teaching yoga professionally for over eight years now, but this year has been my first time ever (!) privately renting a studio space and going out on my own to advertise and curate yoga offerings. It's been a little scary! Your kindness, warmth, and unwavering support has meant the absolute world to me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
I'm planning to take a short break writing these letters over the Christmas break, but I wanted to offer you a little more detail on the new yoga term at Thrive that I'll be starting on January 4th, 2026 :)
We will have our Hatha Flow class at 5pm every Sunday starting January 4th for the new five week term (Jan 4th-Feb 1st) - this is an all levels friendly yoga class that focuses on cultivating a powerful breath, moving energy around the body while building strength and alignment, and calming the mind with restorative stretches and relaxation towards the end of practice. *If you were signed up to this previous term I will send you an email tomorrow to ask if you'd like me to hold your space. I will also have a new class offering on Sundays beginning January 4th for the five week term! A 6:30pm Soft Stretch Yoga class. This practice is designed to gently stretch out the body, calm the nervous system, and help cultivate space and mindfulness in a soft, soothing way. This is also an all levels friendly yoga practice :) The Soft Stretch will move at a slightly slower pace than the Hatha Flow and the majority of yoga shapes and flow sequences will be floor-based to help set the tone for relaxation and stress-relief. There will be more emphasis on pranayama (breathwork) and meditation in this practice, and we will make full use of our lovely yoga bolsters, blocks, cushions and blankets to find comfortable supported stretches that will gently open the heart, hips, and back. There will be elements of soft flow throughout to help ease the mind and work out any tension in the body, but as the class progresses we will find our way into longer held supported yin stretches for deep relaxation and restoration. This will be a beautifully potent practice that will allow your body and mind time to breathe and settle; a great way to restore on a Sunday before the week ahead.
